Paras Khadka set to feature in Legends League Cricket (LLC)

Former Nepal Cricket team Captain Paras Khadka is set to return to the cricket field as he will be featuring in the 2nd season of Legends League Cricket (LLC) tournament to be held in September – October 2022 in India. This was confirmed when the official Twitter handle of Legends League Cricket (LLC) twitted about his inclusion in the tournament. Khadka is set to return to cricket after his shock retirement in 2021 at the age of 33.

The former Nepal skipper led the country for more than a decade before resigning from duty in 2019. Nepal played its first and only T20 World Cup during Khadka’s regime in 2014, Nepal’s brightest moment in International cricket along with the ODI status. Khadka last played Kathmandu Mayor’s Cup from Bagmati Province in March 2021, After that, Paras has not stepped foot on to the field.

Legends League Cricket is a cricket tournament that is played by former world-renowned cricketers from all around the globe. This will be the second season of the league, in which 110 “legendary” cricketers will participate. So far, 50 cricketers have been picked. The tournament also features world cricket legends like Jacques Kallis, Dale Steyn, Sourav Ganguly, Brett Lee, Shane Watson, Chaminda Vaas, Harbhajan Singh, Eoin Morgan, Irfan Pathan, and other notable players from around the world in this edition.

Legends League Cricket Champions

Last year Legends League Cricket (LLC) featured 3 teams World Giants, Asia Lions and Maharaj Cricket Team. However, it is likely that one additional team will be featuring in the 2nd addition to play a total of 15 matches to crown the champion. Last year World Giants led by Darren Sammy clinched the title defeating the Asia lions by 23 runs.
